El Caminito del Rey is a trail clipped along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro near Ardales. If you are a lover of adrenaline and adventure, don't miss this trail, which is built along huge cliffs of several hundred meters with unforgettable views. El caminito, as the Spaniards call it, is 7.7 km long.

The walk will take you 3-4 hours. The trail underwent a complete and comprehensive reconstruction in 2015, it is wide enough, one-way and the trail goes over ravines, through fragrant pine forests, over the river and offers endless tranquility. The trail is not difficult - it is mostly gently downhill or flat, so even a person with normal "fitness" can easily do this hike.

The Caminito del Rey route is spectacular from start to finish. You will experience incredible views and views from the trails hanging 100 meters above the gorge.

Practical advice for you: if you are coming by car, you will do better if you park up at the Embalse del Guadalhorce lake in the parking spaces. You can easily return by shuttle bus.
